We
have chosen 5 - 7 October 2012 as it is wildflower season here and not
too hot or wet, middle of our school holidays and the end of the
eastern states ones. Everyone can be home for Christmas and
if you are from
the north, we promise there will be "no snow". Come early if you
want to go to the Royal Show. Come either side if you want to
holiday. We
are looking for a venue in the Scarborough Beach area, only 12 km from
the city centre and there is plenty of transport and some of the best
views we can offer.
That’s
about as far as we have thought so
far so if interested MEMBERS could email me, I’ll start an email list
for anybody coming or just interested. We anticipate there will
be a charge to cover venue booking and the Saturday dinner.
I am looking
for ideas about what you will need when you come so I can locate
helpful information for this site; accommodation you would like, what
type of event, do you want to go on tours or visit the sights, do you
want a wine or wildflower tour either side of the event and so
on. Let me know if you want a list of Blencowe locations put together for you to find.
